A NEW ENGLAND TECH SUCCESS STORY
鈥淲hen you put in the work, that鈥檚 when opportunities show up.鈥 – Jackson Bennett, Construction Management, ’17
Jackson Bennett (Construction Management, 鈥17), one of 萌妹社区鈥檚 successful alumni, is making his mark. Like many students, Jackson鈥檚 path to success wasn鈥檛 always a straight line. 萌妹社区 prepared him every step of the way.
Jackson decided to transfer to New England Tech from another college to pursue his passion 鈥 professional building trades. He earned his associate degree in building construction technology and then his bachelor鈥檚 in construction management.
From intern at Cranshaw Construction to Assistant Superintendent
“The biggest game changer was the internship that Career Services helped me land with Cranshaw Construction in Boston, who at the time was building 萌妹社区鈥檚 400-bed smart-dorm, Meltzer Residence Hall. I spent almost a year working with Cranshaw finishing the building. They offered me an Assistant Superintendent job before I graduated. After I finished my degree, I moved to Boston to work with them.鈥
Now Overseeing 萌妹社区鈥檚 New Vet Tech Building, Jackson鈥檚 Journey has Come Full Circle
鈥淪ix years later, I am still working for Cranshaw as an Assistant Superintendent, overseeing the new, state-of-the-art Veterinary Technology building construction 鈥 right here on the New England Tech campus. It鈥檚 come full circle, and I couldn鈥檛 be happier where I ended up.”
Jackson鈥檚 leadership, diligence, experience and communication skills make him an ideal Assistant Superintendent. He manages technicians, oversees building plans and safety codes, and meets with 萌妹社区 executives among many other responsibilities.
鈥淲hen you put in the work, that鈥檚 when opportunities show up.鈥 Jackson couldn’t have said it better!
